My husband and I were VERY disappointed to find out that this only applies to checking account transactions and not transactions on your savings accounts.
I've found the folks here to be plenty helpful, but incredibly depressing. It seems they all hate their lives and it's a drag to be in there. That said, it's rarely busy and interactions are quick.
The people here are not only rude but racist. I have been profiled twice here one for depositing an insurance check where they gave me a hard time and a run around on. One person stating we accept these another saying we don't. There customer service skills are minimal at best. My second bad experience happend with me trying to cash money orders here which mind you u can do at most major banks, again i was given the run around with the tellers making things up as they go along. I live in the general area and I am treated as if I live downtown. This is really sad that places still operate like this, with no people skills training, now Adams jobs are given obviously to anyone that applies.
When we opened a Platinum account we were told, and their Banking Catalog on page 4 states, "Free non-Chevy Chase Bank ATM transactions. There is a footnote, but that only states that "out-of-network ATM surcharges will be credited to your account that day -- and the Chevy Chase Bank ATM fee will be refunded to your account when your monthly statement is generated."
Fine to open one account!
It's a bank. Not the most exciting place.
I really believe businesses should be really upfront and not try to hide things. What else are they hiding that we aren't aware of, yet?
