I have followed him throughout his re-location and am currently STILL using him for any/all of my jewelry needs, more recently mailing him my wedding band from New Jersey even though we live 1/2 hour from NYC!! In the past I have also mailed him pieces from the MidWest- that's how loyal I am to him. I cannot say enough positive things about this work ethic, or Saro himself. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a quality job done for any occasion.
Positive experiences every time. I first went to Town Jewelers to have my great grandmother's wedding band re-sized so I could use it as my own wedding band. In the process of re-sizing the band it broke in half, but Saro put it back together seamlessly. There are no fissures in the band and Saro was even able to join repair it so the outside engravings align perfectly. During another trip we took my husbands wedding band to have it re-sized and it now fits him perfectly. Customer service is great. I highly recommend Town Jewelers.
Saro (the owner) seems like a nice guy, but maybe not a great businessman. Problem is, he has recently put a big "50% sale" sign in his window, but the price of the piece I've been looking at since last year has remained the same! He got a little loud with me as i gently questioned him about it, and made the excuse that he already gave me the supposed "sale price ". I now question his credibility, and would not be comfortable making a large purchase. How can anyone spend big $ with a jeweler they dont trust?
Terrible customer service. Bad experience. I should have listened to all the poor reviews on YELP. Check them out before you purchase anything here.
Since I originally built Saro's store when he was located in the Air Rights Building, I have a more personal relationship with him, however how he is in person, carries over to how he is professionally; extremely honest, extremely skilled, and extremely trustworthy.
